The Claire Trevor School of the Arts features a wide variety of computer labs and technical facilities for the creation of digital art and research. Each one has it's own function, audience, and flavor. Some are computer classrooms, others are labs for doing homework, and others are for doing research. Some are open to all Claire Trevor School of the Arts students while others may be restricted by department and student status.

Art, Culture and Technology Building
A new state-of-the-art Studio Art building (ACT), was completed in Winter term 2003. The existing Studio Art buildings have been seismically retro-fitted and extensively remodeled and renovated. The new facilities house the department office, faculty studios and office, graduate student studios, an honors undergraduate studios, a student gallery, "ROOM," a video production and editing facilities, digital output facilities and multi-purpose classrooms. The University Art Gallery provides a venue for student shows as well as faculty and guest artist presentations.

Artslab
A general-purpose computing lab located down stairs in Studio Four Room 104, available to students, staff and faculty in the Claire Trevor School of the Arts supporting all technology used in the School.

Arts Media Center
Music library and listening, MIDI lab, and general homework.

Digital Arts Teaching Lab
Humanities Instructional Building, Room 335
This is a computer lab for the instruction of digital arts classes. During non-scheduled classroom hours the facilities are open to School of the Arts students.

ArtsTEC
Arts Instructional Technology Resource Center, Room 190
Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Sat & Sun CLOSED
A general-purpose and instructional computing lab. The lab is available to all students in the
School of the Arts when classes are not in session.

Digital Arts Research Lab
Humanities Instructional Building, Room 315
This is a computer lab for the instruction of computer programs used by Lighting, Scenic, and Costume Designers.

Motion Capture Studio
Music and Media Building, 216
Hours: 7:00am - 10:00pm (Restricted Access)
A School-wide facility for optical motion capture using an eight-camera Vicon 8 system. The studio has a high ceiling, sprung floors, and a sound system. Access is restricted to class participants and reservation-only. Contact Artslab tech support for details.

Game Culture & Technology Lab
Art Culture and Technology, Room 1233
A research lab in the Studio Art Department that deals with games, animation, and the internet.

Visual Resources Collection
Humanities Instructional Building, Room 61
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Houses an extensive slide library on art and architecture, the Studio Art video collections, and the Studio Art MFA Thesis collection.
